CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Elliot Cadeau, a 6-2 guard from West Orange, N.J., has signed a scholarship agreement to attend the University of North Carolina.
Cadeau (pronounced kuh-DOE) is the son of James and Michelle Cadeau. He currently is a junior at Link Academy in Branson, Mo., where he plays for Coach Bill Armstrong. He previously attended Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, N.J.
Cadeau is reclassifying and will join the Tar Heel roster for the upcoming 2023-24 season.
"Elliot is an elite passer and playmaker," says Carolina head coach Hubert Davis. "He always wants his team to win and excels at making his teammates around him better. Elliot is a selfless teammate who consistently celebrates the success of others. He is a great addition to our team and program, and we are excited he is a Tar Heel."
Cadeau is one of three incoming freshmen who will be joining the men's basketball team this summer. Simeon Wilcher, a 6-5 guard from Plainfield, N.J., and Zayden High, a 6-10 forward from San Antonio, Texas, signed with the Tar Heels last fall.
