This week marks the World Health Organization's 8th #UN Global Road Safety Week, showcasing support to making #walking & #cycling safe🚶♀️➡️🚲. At Eye-Net Mobile, we believe this goal is both urgent and achievable - with the right #partnerships and #technologies. 🎬 At Eye-Net Mobile we just wrapped up our recent field trial in #Bordeaux, France - this time in one of the city’s most challenging #urban transport environments, where #cyclists, #buses, and #cars all came together This trial, part of the larger collaboration of smart-mobility minded Software République, Bordeaux Métropole, Université de Bordeaux and Allianz France focused on advancing smart public transportation through real-time #safety technologies. 🔑Our key contribution: testing #COCA (Car Overtaking, Cyclists Ahead) scenarios in dense traffic settings. With Eye-Net’s real-time collision prediction system integrated into Orange’s #ProtectMe app, the trial evaluated how effectively we can alert drivers and cyclists before critical moments. 💡One critical scenario addressed: #cyclists receiving real-time “bus behind you” alerts - essential in places where buses and bikes share the same routes.
