The Marketplace for Sports Bets

About us

Named to Business Insiders list of "25 promising sports startups to watch," WagerWire is an innovative marketplace where bettors can buy and sell previously placed sports bets. WagerWire powers bet trading in partner sportsbook apps, as well as on "the wire", our aggregated marketplace of sports bettors. We empower you to view your bets as a portfolio of assets that can be bought and sold at any time. Sync your sportsbooks to track the real-time value of your bets, stack maximum rewards, and flip bets with celebrities or friends. Jump in-and-out of futures all season, cash in on parlays before they bust, and trade game lines up to the buzzer.

🏆 WagerWire has been shortlisted with BetMGM and National Basketball Association (NBA) for "Best X Presence" by the Hashtag Sports Awards!! We are upending outdated affiliate marketing and traditional media models, and creating a new paradigm at a time when legacy companies are struggling to adjust. We built our community from the ground up to be for bettors, by bettors. Our community members keep us sharp on what matters, so rather than chasing trends, we're setting them. We even lean on our community for product decisions and have hundreds of “Alpha testers”, sourced entirely from X to test new features and updates. Give us a follow @WagerWire on X and join in on the fun! READ MORE ABOUT OUR NOMINATION HERE: https://lnkd.in/gyVgBpdr SEE THE FULL 2024 SHORTLIST HERE: https://lnkd.in/gNtwgWTj

As I type this, WagerWire is being plastered across ESPN and TNT… this is exactly what we mean when we talk about the inherent virality of our invention which allows people to sell their sportsbets. This exposure is organic and real. Two words that are priceless for sportsbooks whose classical marketing campaigns are bloated, inefficient, expensive and untrusted by the general public. On May 1, 2023 Wayne Shelton placed a $100 parlay to win $1,700,000 - all he needs is the Thunder to win it all. But will they? Instead of hedging, which would require capital he simply doesn’t have, Wayne posted his bet for sale via WagerWire. Since, Wayne has turned down offers of 100k and 150k from private buyers. Whatever he does next will be national news. Stay tuned. [READ THE DETAILS IN THE ESPN ARTICLE IN COMMENTS]

WagerWire is headed across the pond to take NEXT Summit Valletta by storm!! We couldn’t be more proud to announce that this year we are Official Media Partners of NEXT.io. NEXT has been crucial to our success as a start up. Their panels, floor and unrivaled parties have been the site of some of our biggest breakthroughs - and we’re looking forward to sharing the action in real time with you this year live from the Mediterranean. Big thanks to Pierre Lindh⚡️for creating a truly special community and to Anoosha I. for her visionary understanding of what matters most to emerging companies like ours. While there might be bigger conferences, dare we say NEXT is the best.

THIS IS NOT OUR TROPHY... while we came up a few votes shy of winning "Rising Star of the Year" and "Sports Affiliate of the Year" at the 2024 SBC Awards last night, WagerWire is winning BIG where it matters most. Here's some of WagerWire's W's in just the past few months: 🏆 NEXT.io selected us as a "Hot 6" startup. 🏆 Gaming Laboratories International, LLC featured our GLI-33 certified tech at their Regulators Round Table in Las Vegas - and published a high profile case study about our platform's compliance. 🏆 EGR Global awards nominated us in the prestigious "US Rising Star" category. 🏆 Fantasy Sports & Gaming Association awards nominated our technology as the "Best Innovation" of 2024. 🏆 iGamingBusiness featured us in a blockbuster article in iGB Magazine along with Circa Sports and Simplebet as thought leaders in US betting. 🏆 Our company appeared on CNBC, ESPN, Bleacher Report, Barstool Sports, and in the New York Post, The Washington Post and USA TODAY. 🦍 WagerWire has infiltrated the national conversation and is quickly becoming a brand name ... without a single dollar spent on paid advertising (ever!) Congrats to our friends and collaborators Huddle and awards dinner tablemates Leo Gaspar, Magdalena Vuckovic and Dylan Mitchard for besting us in the rising star category to bring home the coveted golden letters last night. Now, Guy Dotan, Zach Doctor and myself are off to Malta for the NEXT.io Valletta conference where we will introduce WagerWire to the global market. [photo credit: Whitney McGuire]

I love seeing WagerWire's thought leadership amplified on ESPN. The platform they've built to give customers the richest, best priced set of options for managing in-the-money bets is clearly the future. Every market looks like the OSB market in the early days: an oligopoly with a few players exerting disproportionate market power over both customers and competitors. When it comes to cash out, why offer more liquidity than you have to if you're the house? Because markets over time don't work like this. New entrants come in to disrupt the status quo. Liquidity becomes fragmented but ultimately improves and more nimble, risk-seeking participants enter and enhance the options and the pricing available to customers. And then the axis of competition shifts from those who have the ability to TAKE large risks to those who have the ability to MANAGE large risks. The WagerWire secondary liquidity marketplace is an important step in this direction, leveling the playing field for bettors who want more than one price for their entire bet but rather a liquid market for all or a piece of their bet. This is something customers should demand from their sports books. While this might seem scary and daunting for the incumbents, the most forward-looking will adopt this approach to give customers a better experience and perhaps even increase volumes as more sophisticated retail risk management enables bet winnings to be redeployed more efficiently. It's hard to take these steps if you already have a big business, but given the fact that markets trend towards liquidity it's best to get out in front and create a competitive advantage though customer focus. #betting #liquidity Eberg Capital
