About us
Connect. Monitor. Respond. It’s a simple and seamless sequence of events and also our mission: one that makes sure every worker gets their job done and returns home safely every day. Blackline pairs wearable safety technology and personal and area gas monitoring with cloud-connected software, and data analytics to help companies meet demanding safety challenges and increase productivity with coverage in more than 100 countries. Our technology provides a lifeline to tens of thousands of people, having reported over 160 billion data-points, and initiated over five million emergency responses. Armed with cellular and satellite connectivity, we ensure help is never too far away. The Blackline Difference: To guarantee no call for help ever goes unanswered, our direct-to-cloud technology detects every event—like a fall, gas leak, hazardous weather situation, no-motion incident or missed check-ins–and connects workers to live monitoring teams for real-time response, by real people. It’s what makes us different and it’s what gives workers peace of mind that their safety is accounted for in any circumstance.

A recent joint federal study showed Americans suffered an average of 1.3 million nonfatal workplace violence incidents per year between 2015 and 2019. Workplace homicides increased by 11% over that period. This rise poses a significant threat to workers whose jobs involve: - exchanging money with the public - delivering passengers, goods or services - working in high crime areas - working in a uniform in contact with the public (e.g., utility workers). So, how can you ensure your lone workers’ safety and prevent workplace violence? What types of workplace violence should you watch for? In this newsletter, you’ll find answers to these questions and more, excerpted from our recent blog article.

Everyone should feel safe at work. We remain committed to protecting all workers, especially lone workers. Great job on this piece, Randall Arms 👏
"Lone workers face increased risks every day they go to work. The National Safety Council states almost 70% of organizations have reported safety incidents involving people who work alone. "Performing duties out of sight and earshot of others means accidents may go unnoticed and help may be severely delayed, making the outcome of an incident likely much more severe for lone workers." —Randall Arms of Blackline Safety. #LoneWorkers #WorkplaceSafety #SafetyTechnology #SafetyHazards #SafetyAudit #Analytics #SafetyTech #EHSToday
