WE LEaD CALA Emotional IQ events in Bogotá CSGers gathered together to deepen learnings on emotions, teamwork, and communication! Our Bogotá office has been buzzing thanks to WE LEaD CALA chapter leaders organizing a few fun events on Emotional IQ! The first event was an emotional intelligence talk with the support of our provider Compensar, but more than a talk it was an experiential learning activity. They split us into different teams and one of the challenges was to bring a plastic circle together from up from the floor using only our index fingers… Only one team managed it after much effort! Another game involved drawing a line inside a star drawn on a piece of paper, but you could not see the drawing except through a mirror held by another person on the team. Very few could do it!!! In Emotion Bingo, with the support of our provider Correcol / Colmédica, each participant had to act or sing the emotion that appeared when they rolled the emotion dice so that the rest of the team could guess what it was and mark it on their Bingo cards... it was a lot of fun! We laughed a lot! Both sessions were led by psychologists who, through very fun dynamics, reminded us what emotional intelligence means and the impact it has on our personal and professional lives: - Sometimes we see things that seem to be very simple to do until we are asked to do it! - We can all think differently about the same event so it is not about imposing our ideas but learning and enriching those of others. - When we have emotions that cloud our thinking, it is better to stop, recognize them, and manage them.
