This week marks both #nationalvolunteerweek and #earthday2022, and I couldn't think of a better way to spend it than with Nielsen, The Climate Mobilization and Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF) for the Nielsen Earth Day Flash Consulting Event. Climate and environmental justice are one of the most pressing issues facing our communities. And the urgency and need for action can at times, feel paralyzing. It is for that reason, that I am honored to have been able to help host this event, where we could leverage skills-based volunteering to help these two incredible nonprofits to amplify all their great work. The Nielsen volunteer teams were able to thoughtfully brainstorm how these organizations can organize their online content and identify their target audiences so that they can best increase their reach and impact of their work. The recommendations provided were concrete, actionable and strategic to specifically address each organization's specific challenges.
