Ballot initiative #144 will provide pet owners with a legal option to use telehealth, through video services such as FaceTime or Zoom, to begin a relationship with a veterinarian that is licensed here in Colorado. This will make it easier for everyone to access much needed care for their pets – including seniors, people with mobility challenges, and people without a vehicle.
Ballot initiative #145 will establish the Veterinary Professional Associate profession, which would allow people with a master’s degree in veterinary care to provide accessible veterinary care to pets while under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian.
