Another year, another fantastic Scientific Group Summer Event! This year we spent the day at Kew Gardens taking part in a variety of engaging workshops covering topics ranging from immunology to best practice in client relationship management. We even got our zen on in a meditation session and puzzled our way through a cryptic quiz that had us exploring the Garden’s grounds (and scratching our heads!). A huge thank you to everyone involved in planning and delivering such a memorable, skill-strengthening day.

Scientific Group was out in force at HCA! The conference, themed ‘Closing the Healthspan-Lifespan Gap,’ provided the perfect chance to gain some insights around how longer lives – but fewer healthy years – are reshaping pharma R&D and MedComms. It was fantastic to hear such a breadth of opinions, data, and potential strategies being explored across the industry. #HCA2025 #WeAreScientific

We're always curious about what the latest insights are in the world of MedComms. That's why our colleague Christina attended the 8th Annual Pharma Omnichannel Excellence Conference in London last week, and took a deep dive into the latest updates around omnichannel engagement – an ongoing hot topic in our industry. Big thanks to Pharma & Life Sciences Events Pharma & Life Sciences Events @ Global Insight Conferences for the engaging and informative event!
Very pleased to have attended last week's 8th Annual Pharma Omnichannel Excellence Conference in London, and greatly enjoyed the engaging discussions on all aspects of omnichannel engagement delivered by industry leads. Omnichannel continues to prompt debate, and some of the more thought-provoking themes for me included: • The fundamental importance of cross-functional alignment during the co-creation of brand strategy and omnichannel planning • The need to develop a deep understanding of your customer segments, their behaviours and their journeys, in order to craft a truly personalised experience • The ongoing challenges of proving ROI for omnichannel engagement, and ultimately its impact • The transformative value of listening to customer feedback to shape meaningful engagement • Re-thinking metrics and making the shift from ‘vanity’ to ‘meaningful’ In a world where there is ever abundant data and content available to us, there was a real call to keep things simple, go back to marketing fundamentals, and remember that the customer is at the heart of all interactions. We let our Creative team out for good behaviour! They visited D&AD last week and from all reports, it looks like it was worth it.
Such an inspiring day at D&AD this week! One of the standout themes this year (aside from AI of course!) definitely seemed to be ‘craft’ and the importance of putting love into what we produce as a designer (afterall, we are literally putting our heartbeats into what we do, so we shouldn’t waste them!). This particular quote stood out for me: “People buy the person behind the pixel, not the pixel itself” - if you have good taste of course! Also, especially inspiring were the jury’s insights on some of the award entries having an impact in the medical world. From innovative children’s audiobooks threading an engaging narrative between the scary noises of an MRI scan (cleverly designing with the challenges rather than against them), to a cut-to-size flip-flop kit for Indian cobblers to supply people in their community with clubfoot – a simple solution with multiple layers of impact, both for the customer and a new revenue stream for the cobbler. Thanks Scientific Group for the opportunity to attend such an inspiring design festival! Looking forward to next year!

Last week, Scientific Group attended the #MAPS2025 conference in London – a hub of innovation, discovery and collaboration in Medical Affairs. From AI integration to omnichannel transformation and truly impactful medical communications, the sessions delivered fresh perspectives, strategic insights and practical tools. It was also a fantastic opportunity to connect and collaborate with like-minded individuals. We walked away inspired, informed and ready to elevate the impact of Medical Affairs with bold, strategic thinking. #MedicalAffairs #Innovation #AIinHealthcare #Omnichannel #PharmaEngagement #Collaboration #HealthcareInnovation #WeAreScientific

A big thanks to the team at Onomi who came to our office last week to showcase the latest developments in event-powered omnichannel communications and HCP engagement. It was interesting to learn about some of the new capabilities for their Onomi platform that extend its application into advisory boards, as well as updates on core functionality in congress, webinar, and stand-alone event engagement – and their approach to assessing performance across channels and between events. #Scientific

Are you naturally curious with an insatiable hunger for consuming knowledge? Does the idea of being the first to learn about the next big thing in medicine and rubbing elbows with leading experts, all while exercising your creative brainpower, get you excited? If so, Olívia Pontes thinks stepping into the world of medical writing might be the ideal move for the lifelong learner. #WeAreScientific https://lnkd.in/ecw9AAcC

One of our core values is 'curiosity', clearly demonstrated by the AS&K Consumer Health team at the recent Clinical Pharmacy Congress! Their enthusiasm for learning and connecting with the wider scientific community is exactly what fuels our work.
The AS&K Consumer Health team had a great time at the Clinical Pharmacy Congress in sunny London last week! We spoke to pharmacists about what’s piquing their interest, saw firsthand which exhibitors were drawing the most attention, made some great new contacts, and sat in on a few thought-provoking presentations on women's health. The photos don’t quite capture the buzz of the event, but they do highlight that we accidentally wore the same outfit. Clearly, great minds do think alike! Already looking forward to the next one. #ClinicalPharmacyCongress #CPCL2025 #ASKConsumerHealth #WeAreScientific
