KOHLER, Wis., December 2, 2021 /3BL Media/ – This year’s edition of Design Miami/ explores the theme of Human Kind, spotlighting design-led visions for a more equitable and interconnected future – a relevant topic for the ongoing collaboration between Kohler Co. and DigDeep, a human rights non-profit addressing water and sanitation challenges in the U.S.

Kohler Co., a global leader in the design and manufacture of kitchen and bath products, and DigDeep have teamed up on a multi-year microgrant program entitled “Water is Life Fund” to bring clean water to families on the Navajo Nation.

In celebration of Design Miami/ 2021, Kohler has made an additional contribution to DigDeep to further fund efforts within the Water is Life microgrant program and bring solutions to more people.

Launched earlier this year, the program supports local community members and community groups who present innovative ideas to provide universal access to clean water and sanitation to the Navajo Nation through community-based service models or new technologies. Access to safe water is at the center of Kohler’s work to preserve the planet and support the well-being of individuals and communities around the world. Reliable access to water is not only crucial for life, but for enriched lives and the pursuit of education and art.

The Water is Life microgrant program is part of Kohler’s Safe Water for All initiative, the company’s commitment to addressing pressing challenges around water access, quality and conservation and broaden public awareness around water issues as part of the company’s commitment to Believing in Better. In addition to funding new community-led initiatives, Kohler will provide mentorship opportunities by connecting grantees to Kohler associates who will lend their expertise and work directly with grantees to help develop and build these organizations.
