Campaign: Community Impact

Chemours joined the United Way of Delaware and Spur Impact during Do More 24 Delaware, a 24-hour day of giving to help Delaware-based nonprofits raise funds and engage new donors. The event raised over $2.6 million in 24-hours from more than 10,000 generous donors across the country. As a philanthropic sponsor, Chemours focused its support on advancing the protection and beautification of the environment with two incentive prize categories – Environmental Champion and Green Philanthropist. The sponsorship was Chemours’ latest effort tied to our bold Corporate Responsibility Commitment (CRC) goal of investing $50 million in our footprint communities by 2030.

Environmental Champion Prize

Nonprofits with an environmental, science- and technology-focused mission shared in a matching pool that included a bonus prize for the first, second, and third place organizations that received the greatest number of donations over the 24-hour period. Congratulations to the 43 nonprofits who qualified for this incentive prize.

Chemours Green Philanthropist Prize

Chemours continuously strives to uplift the communities where we operate. As part of two ‘Power Hours’ held during the 24-day giving period, the top five nonprofits in each small and large division with the most donations received a bonus prize. Congratulations to the 15 nonprofits who received this prize.

Do More 24 Delaware sponsorships provided over 500 nonprofits with an outlet to increase funding capacity and, in turn, address societal issues that align with Chemours’ CRC goals, such as improving gender equity, ethnic diversity, safety, sustainability, and access to STEM education.
