We are excited to see our Sesame Workshop comfy cozy spaces fostering a comforting, safe, and playful space for children and families at Church World Service!
Church World Service Harrisburg (PA)'s smallest refugee clients have always enjoyed a play corner in our office- but now we have supersized the fun for these kids! Thanks to CWS' partnership with Sesame Street in Communities our special friends now enjoy a sweetly decorated and perfectly sized play and reading area. A princess recently visited us to try out our #comfycozy corner and she fully approves! Our larger visitors have included members of Harrisburg Young Professionals, Wen Tan, MBA of Tailor Made Solutions and our director Alex! Learn more about us at https://cwsharrisburg.org/ and follow our new LinkedIn page: CWS Harrisburg!

There are lots of ways to share a child’s favorite story without it feeling repetitive! 📚 Challenge children to notice different ways to read a book by: • Changing the volume of your voice by whispering, or reading loudly 🔊 • Using unique voices for different characters 👨🎨 • Reading the text in a silly way 😜 • Telling the story in your own words 🗣️ Talk with kids about some of the special ways they may want to read a favorite story together!
