Elif: For me, sustainability is not just about addressing carbon emissions or the climate crisis for future generations; it is about recognizing and taking responsibility for the impact of our actions, from the air we breathe and the water we drink to the depths of the earth and the expanse of outer space. N: Which book, film, podcast or other media about sustainability could you recommend to others or has influenced your thinking the most? And could you briefly tell us why this particular medium is so important to you? E: One of the most thought-provoking experiences I have had with sustainability was not through a book or a movie, but at the Deutsches Museum in Munich. N: To give others an insight into what this media is about, could you tell us a little about the main themes or content? E: The Deutsches Museum is one of the oldest science and technology museums in the world. It explores the intersection of science, technology, and society through immersive exhibitions that trace humanity's innovations and their impact on the world, aiming to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and responsible engagement with the technologies shaping our future. N: Which message or insight from this media do you think is the most important, especially in relation to sustainability? E: Its exhibitions on the environment, energy, and science don't just present facts; they draw you into a powerful narrative about humanity's evolving relationship with the planet. You leave the museum not only informed, but deeply aware of how the tools we invent can either heal or harm the Earth, depending on the hands that wield them.
