Yesterday we had an inspiring visit from Senior Advisor to President Biden, Tom Perez! The visit included a tour of the LAA facilities and a round table discussion with CBOs who are subrecipients of the EFSP-H grant funding to discuss the current state of immigration and Latin American affairs in Metro Atlanta/Georgia. Together with community leaders, we discussed vital issues impacting our Latino communities. Grateful for the opportunity to share our mission and collaborate for a brighter future. Another month, another successful Job Fair! 🙌 Thank you to all who were a part of our Job Fair, we are proud to see so many Latinos in our community aspiring to find jobs and excel in their careers. Close to 300 job seekers attended our Job Fair! The LAA exists to lower the many barriers to economic mobility and prosperity that Latinos face and to foster self-sufficiency. As the leading organization in Georgia addressing the needs of Latino families, the LAA works to build a brighter future for all Latinos. 🧡 Thank you to Delta Air Lines, T-Mobile, Alpha Insulation & Waterproofing, SiteOne Landscape Supply, Newrest, Avantor, Shake-N-Go Fashion, Inc., CHRIS 180, TreeHouse Foods, and Sheltering Arms Early Education and Family Centers for helping empower Latinos in Georgia. We've had over 1,000 job seekers attend our 2024 job fairs and our Annual Career EXPO - our largest Job Fair, is right around the corner... we hope to see you there!
