Workiva, the regulatory, financial, and ESG reporting firm, underwent a year of changes, introducing CEO Julie Iskow in April 2023 while executing the transition with transparency and frequent communications to staff. Iskow launched “Ask me anything, tell me anything” meetings outside of Workiva’s regular town halls to foster dialogue between executive leadership and employees.

In an effort to celebrate the contributions of its staff, Workiva implemented the MVP (mission, values, principles) employee recognition program, with nominees featured on Connect, Workiva’s intranet, and recognized at quarterly all-staff gatherings. A Platinum MVP award is also given quarterly to employees who go above and beyond in their role.

The company provides transparency in its diversity demographics: From the third quarter of 2020 to the first quarter of 2023, Workiva increased its female-identifying staff by 3.59%, and employs a non-white-identifying workforce of 22.47%, a rise of 8.18% over the same period.
